The fifth Masters Tour of 2021 has come to an incredible close, with Frederick “Furyhunter” Adam Møller beating fellow European Jim “badajimpom” Boer 3-1 to secure the championship and $25,000 (USD) in prizing! 

"It feels amazing to win, I practiced a lot for this tournament and it felt great to finally get a top 16 and even better to actually go all the way and win it," Furyhunter, a member of , told us following the final match. "My top 8 series were the most nerve-wracking experiences of my life–I had so many close games and series that my heart needs to rest now. I could just feel and hear my heart racing because of the tension. It felt amazing every time I won, especially after a reverse-sweep. In the semifinal, I was sure I was out of the tournament in game 3, so I had kinda settled with that, but then I somehow didn't die and did an amazing comeback, a true rollercoaster of emotions!"

Grandmasters 2020 Season 2 has concluded, and three more players have secured their spot in the Hearthstone 2020 World Championship! Congratulations to Pramet “Bankyugi” Putchakan, Jaromir “Jarla” Vyskočil, and Jerome “Monsanto” Faucher on your Season 2 victories.

In Americas, Jerome “Monsanto” Faucher’s path through the playoffs was full of challenges. The number 1 seed in Group B secured difficult victories against Mihai “Lnguagehackr” Dragalin and Luke “NoHandsGamer” Kooken to make it to the Top 4. On day 2, Monsanto once again faced close matches as David “killinallday” Acosta forced him to a 3-2 final, before facing off against ETC in an intense back and forth final before securing the 3-2 score to advance to the 2020 World Championship.

Following another incredible weekend of Hearthstone action, Simone “Leta” Liguori is the newest Masters Tour champion! Leta, continuing the streak of European champions, defeated Nozomi “Alutemu” Yashima in the finals 3-1. With his victory, Leta finishes the weekend with $32,500 in champion prizing, the Masters Tour champions trophy, and one step closer to securing a promotion to Grandmasters at the end of 2020!

Leta’s run at the championship began after he secured his Top 8 spot with an 8-1 record in the initial swiss rounds. Leta started off the third day of Masters Tour Online: Asia-Pacific facing Americas Grandmaster David “JustSaiyan” Shan in the first round of the Top 8. Following the 3-1 defeat of JustSaiyan, Leta moved onto face European Grandmaster and former teammate Raphael “Bunnyhoppor” Peltzer in the semifinal, where he triumphed 3-2. The Arena World Championship (AWC) Grand Finals came to a thrilling conclusion on Sunday, September 26 as Method NA and Horizon secured their spots as the 2021 Regional Champions!

After two incredible seasons, AWC concluded 2021 with some of the most thrilling Arena matches we have seen in it’s storied fourteen-year history. Horizon secured the EU Regional title while Method NA retained the NA title, with each winning team taking home gold medals as well as $70,000 (USD) each out of the $300,000 global prize pool.
